Art & All That Jazz

Live after 5…the 8th Annual Art and All that Jazz returns to the Port St. Lucie Civic Center on Friday, April 9th, so get ready to treat your eyes and ears to some great music and awesome art.The Festival runs from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.

Rogak at his wheel

One of the exhibitors will be our favorite Potter, Jerry Rogak.  Many of you  may recall, his month  long  exhibit at the Civic Center last October – that show drew record crowds and multiple patrons clammoring for the same selection. Little wonder… Jerry’s works are dynamic in their contemporary sculpture design and multi-layered applications of color and glaze. In addition to Rogak’s small crockery pieces and tabletop sculptures, he will be displaying the dynamic wall sculptures that were such a hit at the October show.

This is a show you won’t want to miss and it’s at the  PSL Civic Center for one night only…so mark your calendars!

I love Festivals, especially street festivals. In January, when I was in Dunedin, FL a couple of years ago, they had shut down their Main Street in that little town and we enjoyed the music, art displays and many unusual crafts. A couple of years prior to that, we would attend the Farmers Market in downtown Sarasota every Saturday. Not only were beautiful fruit and vegetables on display for purchase, but also original works of art and crafts which included some stunning pottery. Sorry I can’t make your Art & All That Jazz since I am on the West Coast in Tampa, FL. Enjoy, I am certain everyone will.
